I haven't seen him for so long
And I hope nothing has gone wrong
What else could

Last time I saw him
He was facing charges of a drug related kind
And the judge said he just couldn't decide his fate
Now I'm checking newspapers to see if he's still alive

You must beware of the road you choose
And where it leads

Last time I saw him
He was in the depths of depression and fear inside
He said life no longer seemed worthwhile
It has no meaning

We stood up in a court of law
And we told them what we felt and what we thought
The judge said he couldn't decide his fate

But that was many weeks ago
And where he is now God only knows
I only hope that he's on a better path
